FOR PARENTS
A safe way for kids to start a real business
MiBooth is a business website for kids aged 8 to 17. Your child builds their own booth at an online fair, makes real things and sells them to family and friends โ and you approve every step. It is about kids becoming founders: learning to make something, price it, and be proud of it.
MiBooth is still being finished. Your child can build a booth today; selling to the public opens soon.
How it works
1. Your child builds a booth
They pick what to make, name their business and decorate a fair booth โ the sign, flag, colours and mascot. No account and no grown-up needed to start building.
2. You approve everything
You create their sign-in and see every product, price, photo and word before it goes public. You can say yes, leave something out, or send it back.
3. Family and friends buy
Share the booth's link with grandparents, aunts and neighbours. They buy by card, you approve the sale and print a ready-made shipping label, and your child packs it.
Safety and privacy
- No words, photos or products go public until a parent approves them โ enforced by the system, not just the screens. (Decorations come from MiBooth's own set, so those apply straight away.)
- No personal information in your child's profile: no real name, photo, age, school or address on the booth.
- No chat, no messaging, and no follower lists. Buyers can leave a thank-you note only after a real purchase, and only once you approve it.
- Booths are private by link unless you turn on Discovery.
- Shipping labels carry the booth's logo or initials โ never your child's name or picture.
- Decorations are free or earned by building โ never bought. No in-app purchases and no prize boxes.
- AI helpers are optional. Every one has a do-it-yourself way, and photo polish only fixes light and contrast.
Money, kept simple
You are the seller of record, so payments go to your own Stripe account and every sale waits for your OK. MiBooth keeps 5% of the price of what sells โ no sign-up fee, no monthly fee. Stripe takes its card fee (about 2.9% + 30ยข a payment) from what you receive. Buyers pay the price plus the shipping you set, and shipping is passed to you in full.
Kids can set a real savings goal โ something to save for, or a cause to give to โ and watch their booth fill it from what they actually earned.
What kids get out of it
Every booth grows as your child builds: new products, a photo, a logo and a slogan all earn awards and decorations, so a slow week of sales is never a failure. Their Founder Passport keeps every business they start, every first sale and every milestone โ a record of becoming a founder that stays with them.
Questions parents ask
Is MiBooth safe for kids?
Yes โ it is built around a parent. Nothing your child makes goes public until you approve it: every product, price, photo, slogan, logo, booth name and savings goal. Your child's profile holds no personal information, there is no chat or messaging, and MiBooth never puts your child's real name, photo, age or address on their booth.
Who handles the money?
You do. The parent is the seller of record: buyers pay by card through Stripe into the parent's own account, and you approve every sale before anything is packed or shipped. Your child sees what they earned, but never handles payments.
What does MiBooth cost?
There is no fee to join and no monthly charge. MiBooth keeps 5% of the price of what sells, and Stripe takes its card fee (about 2.9% + 30ยข a payment) from what you receive. Buyers pay the price plus the shipping you set โ nothing else โ and shipping goes to you in full.
What age is MiBooth for?
Kids from 8 to 17. The screens are made to be easy for an 8-year-old, and the parent tools are made for grown-ups.
What can kids sell?
Things they make and services they offer โ bracelets, art, baked goods, pet care and more. You see and approve each one, with its price, before anyone can buy it.
Does my child need an email address or a phone?
No. You create their sign-in: a made-up founder name and a 4-digit PIN. You can see or reset the PIN any time from your parent page.
Can strangers find my child's booth?
Only if you choose. A new booth can only be opened by someone you send its link to. If you switch on Discovery it appears at the MiBooth Fair. Search looks at booth names and codes, never at your child โ which is one reason the name your child picks for their booth needs your OK.
Ready to start?
Your child can start building right away. You'll be asked to step in before anything opens.
